As a California girl who lives close to the Pacific coastline, I've always been drawn to the beauty of the ocean. So when I arrived at Costa del Sol, I was mesmerized by the stunning azure waters that stretched out before me. The Mediterranean Sea sparkled under the warm Spanish sun, creating a breathtaking backdrop for my adventure. The salty breeze gently kissed my face, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore was like a soothing symphony.

However, my true discovery lay beyond the more well-known tourist spots of the Costa del Sol. Settled in the embrace of this sun-soaked paradise is an even more secret gem – the charming village of Estepona. Known as the Garden of the Costa del Sol, Estepona greeted me with its vibrant pots of flowers that lined the cobblestone streets. It captivated me with its colorful streets and its tranquil ambiance that seemed worlds away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns.

Nestled in this charming city is the 4-Star Boutique Hotel El Pilar Andalucia. I had the joy of being a guest in this gorgeous hotel. It is in the Plaza de las Flores de Estepona, just minutes away from the beach.

During my stay, I had the pleasure of staying in the Premium Deluxe Terrace Room at Hotel El Pilar Andalucia. The terrace is a feature of the room, providing a serene and private space to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the city. The lush greenery and colorful flowers create a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Estepona. This room was more than just a place to rest my head – it was a gateway to an authentic Spanish experience in the heart of the old town.

One of the highlights of staying in the Premium Deluxe Terrace Room at Hotel El Pilar Andalucia is undoubtedly the splendid jacuzzi. The jacuzzi, located on the private terrace, offers a serene and intimate setting where you can unwind and rejuvenate.

As you relax in the jacuzzi, you can take in breathtaking views of the city. The gentle hum of the bubbles and the warm, soothing water create a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There’s also a jacuzzi feature in the bathroom as well. Luxurious indeed.

Every day, I woke up to the mild sounds of the village coming to life – the distant chatter of locals, the soft clanging of church bells – and in the evening, I watched the sun set over the picturesque rooftops, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange. The room is well-appointed with modern amenities, including a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, a coffee machine, air conditioning and heating and an ensuite bathroom with a lovely jacuzzi tub.

In the mornings, I indulged in a delightful breakfast at Hotel El Pilar Andalucia. The spread included fluffy pancakes, savory Florentine eggs, classic Eggs Benedict, Spanish breakfast ham, and a traditional English breakfast, all made to order. Each bite was a testament to the culinary excellence that the hotel takes pride in. The service was attentive and caring.

Overall, my stay in Estepona was a journey of discovery, filled with moments of awe and relaxation.

Estepona's magic lies not only in its natural beauty but also in its rich cultural heritage. Wandering through the cobblestone streets lined with flower pots, I felt like I had stepped back in time. The whitewashed buildings, adorned with intricate Moorish details, told tales of reminiscence. The locals, warm and welcoming, added to the authentic experience, making me feel like a part of the community.

The beauty of the ocean, the charm of the village, and the comfort of the Premium Deluxe Terrace Room at Hotel El Pilar Andalucia made my visit an unforgettable experience.
